Let's Get These Blogs in Order!

I would like to point out the way I organize all the blogs that I have found. If you teach a particular grade you can go to my sidebar and click on your preferred grade level and tadaa!! I have blogs arranged by grade level.
It looks just like this!
I have so many blogs saved on there you could spend days cruising along them finding great ideas and inspiration.
Here is the thing!! I took a break and I wasn't active for the past 5 months. I know that so many wonderful blogs have popped up and I've missed them. I would really like to have a complete list so......
If you want your blog on here or you know of a blog I'm missing leave me a comment and I will add them pronto!

Organizing All Those Student Passwords

Anyone overloaded with usernames and passwords?? We are going to the computer lab regularly and with the programs I use come some serious usernames and passwords. I make my students tags to take along to the computer lab with them. All the programs that I use are listed with each students specific log on info. This has been a wonderful help!! I color coded the separate sites and everything!! Yep, I LOVE my sharpies!!!  :)
I pass these fish (locker tags) out just before we walk out for computer lab. On these tags you can find their computer log on, AR/STAR log on, Sumdog log on, and Xtramath log on. Each day when we go in they are required to take any AR tests first followed by their Xtra math quiz. If there is time left over when they have finished these two musts they may play on Sumdog. So far this is working wonderfully! The kids LOVE Xtra math and Sumdog!! If you haven't seen these sites then you MUST!! They are both free and great!

The kids can log on at home to play on Sumdog and/or take their Xtra math quiz at home on the weekends. So the Animal tags are for them to keep in their STAR binders. They keep them in their binders where parents will be able to find them.

I really recommend these sassy tags. They are easily spotted in hallways and the kids get more attached to them than index cards.
I've been super excited about starting this school year with these programs. I'll be sure to keep you posted on how it's going!!

How do you keep your many log ons organized??

Storage

OK Kelly here you go!  Only for you would I broadcast my clutter. :)
My hubby recently got tired of our lack of storage space in the bedroom. It could be my clothes taking up our entire closet. hehe! I came home on Fri. with this storage rack in our bedroom corner. It tucks right behind the door which is usually open. So you can only see it from the angle I took the picture when  the door is open. Not California Closet by any means but it will do the trick. I haven't really organized it yet so don't judge me to harshly. :)

This one has wheels so you could move around the room easily. We have black in the garage which would be more stylish especially if you made some curtains for it. Something fun and stylish. I would anchor them somehow if you have tiny climbers. So this is my storage tip for anyone looking for fitting lots of stuff in small spaces!

What Would You Suggest?

My thoughtful hubby found this piece at a U of M auction in Ann Arbor. He thought I might be able to use it in my room. It has 24 doors/cubbyholes for whatever our imaginations can come up with. I could keep center activities in it. It would be like everyone who uses rubber maid storage but I would have this. Is it too cumbersome? The holes are 11x15. It's sitting on the tailgate of our truck and that is my little cutie Ty who is five standing by it.

What do you think?? What could I use it for??

If nothing else he figured we could take off the doors and make it a shoe holder for the garage.

Organizing the Madness!!

I was inspired by Nancy over at The Apple Basket Teacher to get my blogs organized. I'm not a stranger to Sqworl but I had neglected my account over there. I love how she has organized all her blogs by grade level. All her blogs are thumbnailed and organized at Sqworl which makes looking for specifics much easier.

I don't know if you are like me but I'm following so many blogs I can't keep them all straight. I forget who teaches what grades.

I want to get everyone organized so leave me a comment if you want me to add your blog to my Sqworl and I will put you right in your grade level all nice and neat! :)

Keep in mind I've only done 3rd Grade so far!  :)

Book Bags

If you scrolled down and checked out my Daily Five posters you may have noticed that I say, "Grab your bags." Daily Five calls for the use of "book boxes". I didn't like the table clutter that caused. I decided to run out to Staples and buy some hooks to put on the sides of my desks to hang book bags. The bags contain the necessary supplies to smoothly transition into Daily Five. The kids stock their bags in the morning as a part of their morning routine. They need four books in the bag, one non-fiction magazine/book,  one picture book, a just right AR book and a just right AR back up book. When I say that it is time for Daily Five the kids grab their bags and find their comfy spots. Here are some pics of my set up.

Let me know if you do something similar or if you have any suggestions!
