Alert! Alert! Must See Site Ahead!! :)

Ozge Karaoglu’s Blog

This site is packed full of awesomeness!! She is featuring an A-Z Web tools theme. Each day she features tons of fun creative sites for each letter of the alphabet. The good news is that she is only on letter C.

Jump over and get hooked!

My favorites so far include:

CheckDog  This is a spell check addition. I for one am a spell check addict. I use Firefox so I have spell check built right but I would use this when working away from my main computer.

CrazyTalk CrazyTalk allows you to animate your pictures and make them talk. How fun!! I haven't done this yet, but it is on my list of things to do!

Check the site out and let me know what you think!

Grammaropolis

Grammaropolis!!

Grammaropolis features cartoon characters that represent nouns, verbs, adjectives, and other parts of speech. Students can click on any of the characters to read that character's story. After going through the character stories students can watch videos about the parts of speech and play games about the parts of speech.

This is a cool, fun site that allows kids to see grammar in a fun light. We all know that trying to make grammar fun can make the most seasoned teacher cringe.  :)

Thanks to Richard Byrne and Kelly Tenkely for posting this resource!

Teacher Discounts!!

Calling All Shoppers!!

I will admit I'm a wee bit challenged when it comes to wearing my id badge. But, wow oh wow do I have a new incentive to keep mine on me! I stumbled
upon this dandy of a site that lists all the stores/organizations that offer teacher discounts. I'll admit, I started shouting when I saw some of my favorite clothing stores listed. I shouted then I jumped over here to share with all of you !! Make sure you scroll to the bottom so that you can jump and shout too. haha!

If you are like  me
you will use just about any excuse
for a good shopping fix!!   :)

Slide

I stumbled onto Ms. Winston's website while gazing upon a fellow blogger site. She is so creative and helpful and has packed her pages full of fun useful materials. You should check it out. She is a fellow admirer of Daily 5 and she also participates in bucket filling. I could go on and on but you better just look for yourself.  :)

I ended up checking out her slides. I clicked on this link and created my own. My first slide creation can be found on the About Us page of this blog. Head over there and make some of your own!

Click on this link and create your own slides. It's super fun and super easy too!
