SMART Board Lessons!!

I'm sitting here at SMART board training and I'm learning some really cool stuff!! I get a SMART Board next year when I move classrooms and I'm on information overload. You know how we are!! I have this new technology at my finger tips and my brain is running over time with all the stuff I "think" I'm going to accomplish. Meanwhile I don't even know how to turn it on! Ha! Reality check!! :)

So here is my challenge!!
You know I love me some LiNkY!!!

Get your LiNkY on ladies and gents!!

I want everyone to snag up their favorite SMART board lesson, sites, posts, etc. and LiNkY up!!

Just think of all the super stuff we will see with our collective ideas! If you don't have a board don't fret or skip this!! Save the stuff for later. You know you will look back in a year and go dang nab it, I should have saved those!!

Let the LiNkY BEGIN!!!

I See Treasure Everywhere!!

Ok! So maybe you have noticed the slight hoarding tendencies that have broken out since my couponing craze began. My husband noticed as well! Were you wondering what I was planning to do with all those tooth brushes and bottles of lotion?? Did you figure I had a couple hundred bottles of spaghetti sauce under my toddlers bed??

I'm stocking up on free stuff to put in my treasure chest!! I've never had a treasure chest before and I plan to get one next year. I'm trying to get creative with my stash and make my chest one worthy of excitement. I plan to have more than just candy.

Toothpaste
Toothbrushes
Lotion
Shampoo
Learning/Brain Tools
Pencil/Eraser stuff
Food (good food that was on sale)

So..... What do you put in your treasure chest??

Any suggestions for my exciting supply?

Have You Noticed?!?

I don't know if you've noticed but I added a new widget/button!!

It's a donation widget. I really want to comfy up my room with these bean bag chairs next fall and I decided to ask for a little help. I want my students to have a passion for reading. I don't want them to associate reading with hard desks and demanding teachers. I don't know about you, but this chair shouts comfort and coziness to me! I have loved a good book and a cozy nook since... well.. forever! I know that most of you (a lot of you) that follow this blog don't need any sales pitch for reading but I wanted to justify my wishes.

These chairs are on sale for $29.00 and they are sassy Pottery Barn look alikes! Cute huh? My plan is to get a couple of the PB look alikes and
a couple black reg. bean bag chairs. The black bags are on sale for $19.00. They are nice looking and easy to clean (for those super fun lice outbreaks :(

Any
ways, if you have an extra dollar and you feel like making a third grader smile then click on my donation button!!

I promise to post pictures of my thankful third graders when we get our super cool bean bag chairs!! For now take a look at how happy they got over something as simple as a sand pail. :)

Schools Out For Summer!!!

It's official!!! School is out!! I've been WOW busy and I'm sorry I've neglected my bloggy buddies. I'm still super busy with moving rooms and packing for my big camping trip next week but I hope I can get back in action soon.

I ga
ve each of my student sand pails with combos and bubble inside. We spent time autographing each others pails and had a very good time. I was worried that my practically fourth graders would think the pails were to babyish but they were so excited. They were pretty cute! I got the pails at the Dollar Tree and the bubble there cost .50 per three pack!

Now, I'm planning my weekend shopping/couponing run and resting up a little for my Monday moving. I'm heading in on Monday to move rooms and then ending the night with a b-day party for my little guy who is turning six. The plan is around 30 people and a Cars theme. Tuesday is pack up and then we set off on our big camping trip on Wednesday.

Wow!! I think I'm getting tired just typing about all of it. :)

Sunday Savings Linky!!

Ok - Here is a look into the wild and crazy couponing day I had yesterday!! I couldn't take a pic of everything cuz just the thought was too tiring. I had tons of fun and saved TONS of money!! They were on sale and I used a coupon to get them for .69 cents. BONUS!!
My
last grab of the day was 17 boxes of these yummy frozen treats for free!! I have coupons to get 44 boxes but the rest are coming in later next week. Too yummy and a great summer treat!! They don't expire until 8/12!!! Bonus!!

I Feel Like I Won A Giveaway!!

So, I know I'm due for my giveaway and I keep saying it will be soon but I have been REALLY BUSY! School lets out for me next Thursday. I have to keep my little darlings happy and on track for 3 half days next week. Who thought 3 half days was a good idea??? I have NO idea! I see some serious cleaning and moving in my future. I have to pack up my classroom and move it down the hall. I'm not complaining because I know how many of you have larger challenges in front of you. I'm glad for the opportunity to get cleaned up and organized. I'm going to miss my old room and my old neighbor so very very much!!! As I clean I get choked up but I looking on the positive side.

Now for the real reason for this post!! Girls!! I know I've been harping on about the couponing but I'm so far gone I can't turn back! :)
I will post my "real" giveaway very soon. (I promise!) But, for now I thought I would give you a little taste of a giveaway coupon style!! hehe!

Yesterday I hit the couponing jackpot! I will post pics and numbers later. I'm going to have a linky up later today so check back to see my madness in full boar! Better yet play along and link up. My shopping was big but yours could be as little as getting one item at super savings!!

Here it is!!! I got 17 boxes of these frozen treats for FREE!!! I have 31 more coupons so they are ordering me the rest and I just have to go pick them up. My little kiddies will be crunching on this yummy frozen ice for a while! It doesn't expire until 8/12!!! A fellow blogger posted a comment about these a week ago and I jumped over to Coupons And Things By DeDE and order a bunch of coupons for next to nothing!! You should have seen the cashiers face when the total was 0.00. Priceless!! I will admit my face was a little shewie!

Off The Deep End! :)

Many of you suspected it but I think it's official!! I've gone off the couponing deep end! hehe! I just purchased an adorable tote to organize all my lovely coupons! I was just telling my hubby last night that I was ready to progress to the three ring binder and then today I found this!!

I thought it was adorable! So I got one. hehe! It was hard to spend the money even after I searched and found a coupon for it! But, I figured I deserved it after all the money I've been saving! Right?!

Type on over and check them out!

Yipeee!! It's Friday!

One more week to go!
I think I can! I think I can! I think I can!!

I'm so very excited to have reached 200+ followers!

I'm planning a super fun giveaway with a giftcard and some Pampered Chef fun stuff. I'm worried that my followers button isn't working though. I'm going to wait until this weekend to put it all together so keep on the lookout!

Did I mention 1 week left?!?!

Meet Me on Monday!

I'm jumping on board and participating with Never Growing Old for a Meet Me on Monday meet and greet!!
It looked like fun and with school ending soon I needed something different. So jump on and link up!!

Here goes!!

1.  What is the last piece of candy that you ate?

I bought these on clearance after Easter to pass out to students on task. I ended up eating as much as them!! I have little contests at the end of the day for the neatest learning club or the quietest.  The kids really work hard to get a little treat. I will spot a piece of paper or something out of place around the room and they will scramble to pick up and be the one to find the right "piece". You should see them go!! It works like a charm and it only cost me a tiny bite of candy. Just after I started this the janitor started leaving us thank you notes. Ha!  Best part is it's at the end of the day so the candy hits after they leave.  :)
2.  Do you "read" in the bathroom?

No - Not usually.

3.  I can't stand when someone Sharpens pencils while I'm teaching

My kiddos are supposed to sharpen pencils in the morning so they are ready for the day but it NEVER works out that way. Oh well.

4.  Do you do daily, weekly or monthly grocery shopping?

I swear it feels like all the above!! Now that I'm couponing I'm stocking up a bit. We still make regular runs on veggies, meat, and fruit! I was brave and I hit Meijers to get the peppers and Sunny D. 10 for 10 with all three of my little ones. AHHHH!!! Actually it went pretty smooth but I was pretty nervous! I will post pics of my savings later this week when I sum up my weekly savings!!

Come back and link up on Sunday!!

Money Saving Linky!!

I ran into a blogger recently that showcases her weekly finds/deals. I thought it was a great idea! I can't help it! I get soooo excited when I score my weekly deals. I want to tell everyone and share my deals and excitement.
If you have never been to her site you should get typing on over there!!

I thought it would be cool if I started a weekly linky party of my own where we could share with each other all our super savings.  I know a lot of you have been couponing so let's give it a try!

Last week I didn't have time to get to the grocery store until Sat. night with two boys in tow. Two boys ages 4 and 5. BIG mistake! I knew it would be a pain but I needed to get there and I didn't have any other choice. So here are my savings for the week!

Meijers Trip
I spent -107.14
I saved - 74.92

5 Brawny Paper Towels reg. 11.99 Sale 5.50 w/coupon
5 Sweet Corns
8 Boxes of Fiber One
4 Boxes of Nature Valley Granola Bars
2 Tubs of Cottage Cheese
3 Boxes of Fruit Snacks (My boys grabbed them up and I just happened
to have a coupon and they were on sale so the boys scored.)
3 Packs of  Jell-O puddings
9 Boxes of Toaster strudels
8 Boxes of Honey Nut Cereal

Other big scores this week include:

Walgreens Score
Spent - 57.27
Saved - 85.94
As I look at this receipt I'm finding a couple things that were rung up wrong. My kids and hubby were waiting in the car and the register wasn't working right. I was feeling the pressure. :)

12  Bottles of Sunblock ( My tree removing hubby already scammed a bottle:)
3    Bags of Cottonelle Flushable Whip Refills

The lotion itself was reg. 10 - 13 dollars a bottle!

This hasn't been my biggest score but it was "REAL". I'm not a psycho couponer from TV I'm a real working woman with three children 7 and under. So how about you "REAL" ladies?? How are you doing in the savings department? I'm sure you can top this!

So Link Up Ladies!!

What I'm Reading This Summer

I have grand plans to read these book this summer! I hope I realize those plans. I know from the reviews and from co-workers that they are well worth the $$. I would love for you to leave a comment if you have read any of these!! Maybe that can help me decide which to read first! I plan to add to the list but I couldn't remember a couple of the titles that I have at work.

I have already read the Daily 5, Cafe, and Strategies That Work, but they are a must review every summer! I consider these books my must haves!
