Charts and Posters Everywhere!

I kinda have a thing for chart paper. No, really, I have issues! :) My co-workers tell me I spend way too much time on them. They always tell me to pass them around when I'm done. I know my co-workers are reading right now going, yep! But, since they NEVER comment and only jam to my rockin tunes you probably won't hear this from them. hehe! Love you girls!!

I love my charts to have color and sass. I have to say I wanted to link up with Ladybugs linky party to show off all the fun charts I've made this year but I didn't know just how to do it. Should I go through  my pics and just put them all on one post to display? Should I link up several times? Hmmm.... Decisions!

Then, I thought, duh!!!! I keep all my charts along with all the sassy ones I find already organized on Pinterest. Soooooo.... Why don't I just share my Pinterest link? Here is a preview of what you will see if you choose to go check out my charts!

I have 100 pins just for charts on Pinterest. You should really go take a look! Some of the charts are made by me and many others were found on amazing blogs. I have copied and used many of them this year. I swear it made a huge difference in my teaching!! Remember if you click on the pin you like it will take you to that blog where you can read the entire post it went with. Which means you will not only get charts but lesson ideas and inspiration as well!! You can't beat that!!

You have to promise me you won't make fun of me for being a psycho pinner! Make sure you follow along while you are there!!

Pinterest Explosion!

I don't know about all of you but I'm loving Pinterest!! I love how I can organize all the cool lessons I'm finding out there. Now, every time I spot a cool anchor chart or poster idea I just click and bam, it's all organized and saved for later.
One of the first projects I pinned on pinterest is this gorgeous garland.

I thought it was adorable and would look perfect running across my classroom. Well, it does!! I did it and it turned out beautiful!! I'm so glad I took the plunge! I will admit it took some time. I grabbed a strand of white Christmas lights out of the basement and draped them along the wall during a little family gathering. I had bought a bunch of fabric remnants at Walmart and I cut them into strips. I just visited and chatted while I walked along and tied the strips to the strand of lights. I would like to make it fuller but it will do just fine for now. My kids love it!! They all remind me to turn it on in the morning and all my co-workers have their eye on it. I really like the glow and ambiance that it gives the room.

It really does look way better than these photos. It was hard to take a picture of the lights down, window open, and garland lit up.

Feel free to jump on over and check out all the cool ideas I've pinned over on Pinterest! I'm really trying to organize everything. I used to just stick all the pins under classroom ideas. I'm making a solid effort now to place pins in specific areas to make them easier to access. A lot of the ideas (especially the charts) I've already done before but I like the new ideas as far as wording or pictures.

Hop on over and check it out!!

The End Is Near!!

I can't believe tomorrow starts the new school year!! Summer is over folks and teachers at Madison in Michigan start back tomorrow!! YIKES!! I know it has to end but ohhhhh, I don't want it to!! Don't get me wrong I'm super excited for the new beginnings but I just hate to say goodbye!

I'm not ready to show completed pics of my new room just yet. But, I do have pics of a project that I completed. I fixed up some ancient desks that needed some lovin. They were beaten up pretty bad and only worthy of being in public if covered with a table cloth before I got a hold of them. But now they are my new computer table!! Tadaaa!! The tops are chalkboard paint so I can doodle and jot quick notes! Fun huh?!

Anyone else completing projects??
I have a plant pot project coming next.
The pots are literally drying in the garage as I speak/type.
We shall see how they turn out!!

Lamination Take Over!!

I opted to stay home today and tackle the things I can do without being at school. I managed to get my welcome back letters stuffed and in the mail this morning! I send a letter, an information sheet, and one more supply list in this mailing.
Cute huh? I so love this paper!!
Thanks Erin Pifer for hooking me up!!
I had to redo my bulletins so I have more laminate to cut than I normally do. My little ones are enjoying some grapes and Shrek for rest time in the background.

I know Pinterest was down last night for a little while but it's back up and running now. I found an adorable paper banner that I'm going to whip up in my room!! I wanted to show you how stinkin cute it is!!
Cute huh?!

I have a lot of new pins
just since yesterday so hop on over
